Food For Thought at Singapore Botanic Gardens

With an hour plus to spare after being dropped off at Nex, I settled myself down at teadot (a modern tea cafe), and ordered a glass of Lavender Earl Grey tea for myself, while I worked on my laptop. First time drinking this, and it tasted really pleasant.

Time to be picked up! With my craving for red velvet cake and after a quick internet search, we decided to head to Food For Thought (FFT) at Singapore Botanic Gardens, where we had our lunch. We had the Slow Roasted Pulled Pork burger and Cuban Ham and Pulled Pork burger.  I would certainly recommend the latter if you do intend to try the burgers at FFT someday!

On to desserts! A whole array of cakes decorated prettily for us to choose! It was obviously that I chose the Old Southern Red Velvet Cake (That's why I was at FFT for, in the first place). The other cake was the Hazelnut and Chocolate cake. And while ordering my cakes, I also ordered an extra Red Velvet Cake for take-away, as a surprise for my Sis (she loves red velvet cakes too! In fact she was the one who introduced me to red velvet, hehe!).

(Unappealing artwork. Lol.)

Food For Thought - Old Southern Red Velvet Cake

Well, the red velvet cake was not as moist as I would like it to be, and too creamy for my liking that I had to scrape off most of the cream. Quite a disappointment, actually. Thus, if anyone of you knows where to have AWESOME RED VELVET CAKES, do let me know! :)
