Lady Gaga - Born This Way Ball 2012 concert photo / pictures (PART 2)

I know, the PART 1 post on the recent Lady Gaga concert had no photos or videos of her and I might have left you feeling disappointed (especially if you were anticipating for pics/videos... But in the first place, #WHYYOUNOGO??!!)... But this post, PART 2, is all about LADY GAGA! Read on! :)


(And yes, I am writing this PART 2 post, straight after I was done with the PART 1 post. And still listening to 'Bloody Mary' while blogging away). [UPDATE: Sorry that I am only posting this up only after a week plus.... Oops!]

The concert started with Gaga castle illuminated with purple lightings. Her leather-clad dancers carried guns, as well as flags which spelt out G.O.A.T (Think: Satanic), and then Lady Gaga appears, singing Highway Unicorn (Road to Love) while seated on a dark black horse.

She disappeared back into the castle after the first song, and reappeared on the castle stairs...

And then guess what? She emerged from the giant chicken.
It was as if the chicken was giving birth to her.
But then again, chickens don't give birth to their young in reality.
However with Gaga, anything goes, doesn't it? :D

Lady Gaga became really emotional during this part, where she sat on her motorcycle cum piano...
Chatting with the audience and sharing her story of being bullied when she was younger, such as to be thrown into a rubbish chute by the older kids. She sang 'Hair' in between of chatting with us.

I really love this song, Bloody Mary.

And I loved this particular performance. 

The whole eerie/surreal feel where Gaga 'glides' around the stage.

It feels some sort of majestic, actually.

Gag NEVER lip-syncs during LIVE performances.
So can you imagine how awesome her singing was?
Given the fact that she can sing while dancing to all her fast songs like Born This Way, Judas, Paparazzi, Telephone, Americano, Bad Romance, for example.

I admit I wasn't diligent enough to video down most of her songs which she performed. But that's because I was enjoying myself tremendously and thoroughly. And I think that was the main purpose I would actually get a ticket to watch her live, isn't it? (Else I would have waited till people post the concert vids on YouTube, right? Duh!) Thus, I may not have done a good coverage of the full concert. But you can actually watch the video below to have a summary of Gag's concert, but do take note that this was her concert in Hong Kong, and the stage set up was completely different from what was set up in Singapore. But then again, for those of you who didn't get a ticket to watch her concert, it was a pity. Really.

I really like how Gaga advocates the freedom of expression, how we should not change ourselves just to please others, to accept that everyone of us are born the way we are... And she isn't as desperate as the 50+ years old Material Girl who recently flashed her nipple during her MDNA concert in Istanbul. Please do it without all the sleaze. Thank you, M!). (M = Madonna, if you still can't figure it out.)

Lady Gaga - Born This Way Ball 2012 concert photo / pictures (PART 1)

Have you ever had this 'after-effect feeling' after a BIG or IMPORTANT event had happened in your life? Where scenes of that event kept replaying vividly in your mind the whole day? I recently did. This is what happening to me ever since a week ago, ever since last Monday... After spending an evening with Lady Gaga and the other Lil Monsters. So much so that even just by listening to her songs would have me think of that unforgettable and memorable night (I am replaying 'Bloody Mary' while blogging this post, by the way). Even during the wee hours at 5.20am, I could even think of her (see my tweet below):

It all started four months ago when I heard the news that Lady Gaga would be having a one-day concert in Singapore. That got me so excited... I knew I had to be there! A one-day concert? Definitely a sold-out... How would I be able to get my hands of good awesome seats? And the next best thing that could happened was that American Express (AMEX) credit card members would be able to enjoy priority booking on 24 February 2012, 3 days before Lady Gaga concert tickets would be up for sale at Sistic on 27 February.

What is with priority booking? Well, at least I would be able to select better seats. And a good seat I have gotten, after being on a long phone call with one of the Sistic telesales agent. Can you imagine I was 'camping' by my phone at 9.50am, calling in already, even though the advanced ticket sale would only start at 10am? I was that determined to get good seats. (And of course, we all know that Lady Gaga decided to hold 2 more concerts in Singapore eventually, instead of only one on May 28.)

From that day that I managed to get the tickets, I could only anticipate for the arrival of May 28. And that would be like a pre-birthday event for me, since my birthday would be exactly 1 month from the day of the concert.

And so, the day of the Ball arrives...

You know what is fantastic about being at the 'Born This Way' Ball with other lil monsters?

I was planning of this yellow-black tape outfit for the concert actually.
But I could only find those red-white stripes one.  *SAD*

I wore this pair of heels to the concert.
When I saw this pair months back when I was shopping,
I bought it as I felt it was rather 'Gaga-ish', even before I got the tickets.

I wanted to buy this, but it has to be shipped from US.
I am still considering even till now. Lovely pair of wedges, right? :D

Whatever it was, though I didn't don any Lady Gaga MV-inspired outfits that night,
I really enjoyed seeing the others donning similarly to Gaga herself.

Lady Gaga 'Born This Way Ball' Concert (Singapore) 28 May 2012

 

I am back home from a wonderful evening where I spent hours with Lady Gaga and the other lil monsters at the 'Born This Way' ball, where we celebrated love at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Will be uploading photos and videos from the Ball. For now, I need to sleep, it's 3.15am. Stay tuned! :)

Certainly felt like I was living a high life, when I was picked up by a splendid limousine one evening, which drove me to Klapsons Hotel, where an event by AsiaRooms.com was held.

So I sipped champagne water while watching the world went by (and office crowd in Raffles Place rushing off after knocking off from a day's work), while seated comfortably in the luxurious limo which was equipped with a good sound system.

And coincidentally, Lady Gaga's MVs were being played! She's one of my faves, so that completed the whole limo ride experience totally! :)

And when you thought that the star treatment was just the limo ride...
There was more than that, waiting for me! :D

A variety of food awaited us that evening. There was a lucky draw where winners won a night stay at selected hotels locally.


This AsiaRooms.com event was held as the online hotel booking company is in search for Singapore's Next Social Travel Star, where a pair of travel hosts will travel and review 12 unique hotels across four countries, sharing with you how a Right Room in a hotel should be like.

As for me, I certainly have my own personal requirements and preferences when I choose my hotels for my staycations and leisure trips. And not forgetting the fact that I have been traveling for work around the region for the past year, I started having my own preferences when it comes to hotels for business trips. I plan to blog about some of the lovely hotels which I stayed previously, as there were some of you who asked me. So, look out for it! Ciao! :)

Lady Gaga - Alejandro: Watch it here!!!

Since 11pm, I was counting down to 12am (Singapore time). I was anticipating for Lady Gaga's Alejandro music video! Her latest video! And then as the clock struck twelve, I was brought to another world, where there is only Gaga and me... We were kissing and whispering ALEJANDRO to each other!

Oh btw, I totally dig the pantsuit she wore in this MV! I would love to get that machine gun bra of hers, it's a thousand times more awesome than the cone bra worn by Rihanna at the recent Rock in Rio concert!

And Mother Monster said that the video, containing a homoerotic military theme is, "a celebration of my love and appreciation for the gay community, my admiration of their bravery, their love for one another and their courage in their relationships". What wise words from Gaga which left me speechless... -end-

p/s: For those idiots who insist that Gaga is a guy, she showed her 'Manhood' just for you fools out there (as seen in Alejandro video at 5:07 and 5:12). Happy now? So shuddup!

Being a fan of Gaga, I wanna share this awesome piece of news with all of ya! Afterall, I have been waiting for the release of this music video ever since I watched her performed this song in one of the American Idols episode! Since then, I visit Gaga's official website daily, hoping to get news of it! And finally it's OUT! OMGosh!!!!!!

FHA 2010: Drinking Coke from glass bottles

We have been drinking Coca-cola (Coke) from cans and plastic bottles for quite some time now. Don't you guys miss drinking Coke straight from a glass bottle in Singapore?


Well, now you can do just that. What's more, the bottle does not come in the usual size... It only holds 250ml in one. So now you are able to purchase such glass bottles for drinks such as the regular Coca-Cola, as well as for Coke Light, Coke Zero and even A&W Root Beer.

I wouldn't know this either, if I had not done the event for Coca-Cola during the Food & Hotel Asia (FHA) 2010 a fortnight ago. If you want to get one to collect or to drink from it, take note that you are unable to purchase one from the coffee shops, mini marts or supermarkets. This unique packaging is exclusively for F&B establishments, clubs, hotels, etc. So if you want to get one, you can patronize places like Delifrance and Sakae Sushi. I know there are a few hotels that carry this too. If you are too lazy to get it from a Delifrance outlet for only S$2.50 a bottle, I spotted an Ebay listing that is selling the Coke bottle at S$3.90. (What the...?!)

It was really great fun working with them for the 4 days.

As much as I wish to get the fisheye lens for my DSLR, I created the effect myself!

The FHA is actually a trade show. So the company was reaching out to potential suitable customers to carry their glass bottles. If you happen to carry out the glass bottles, there are like POS display items such as the Salt and Pepper shakers and coasters. The coasters are for the bottle and drinking glass. Yes, when you order a Coke glass bottle drink, it comes with a special Coke glass for you to drink from.
