Review: Lunch at The Tastings Room

Had a late lunch with long-time friend at The Tastings Room one day.
The restaurant is located in Marina Square, along the Raffles Link road.

We had the 3-course Executive Set meal each - Soup, Main course and Dessert. The choice of onion or truffle mushroom soup was nothing fantastic, and it tasted quite average. On the other hand, I would say that the main course choices were good, and certainly worth the set lunch price (S$28++)! Staff provided good service, was efficient to attend to our requests.  And The Tastings Room is stocked with a good variety of wine, and the wine prices (for both glass and bottle) are affordable. I can imagine myself ordering a few glasses of different wine to sip and taste in one sitting. :p

Confit of French Duck Leg

I am not a big fan for duck, really.
But a meal at Halia (Botanic Gardens) earlier this year where I had duck confit CHANGED.MY.MIND.
The skin was crispy, and the duck meat came off from the bone easily.
The sauce that accompanied the duck confit was well-balanced.

I had the Tiramisu for desserts.
I liked the way they presented it, and the taste was above average.
