Lunch at Sushi Tei, Bedok Point
Had a late lunch today at the Sushi Tei branch at Bedok Point. It was my first time at Bedok Point, and I must say that there are a good number of F&B establishments present. Have anyone of you been there? It is conveniently located near the Bedok MRT and bus interchange, about a 3-5 minutes away.
Apart from the usuals that I always order, I also ordered the Crunchy Tuna, which consists of mini bite-sized tuna sushi rolls. It's quite nice, but I didn't like the sauce that came with it. The grilled hotate (scallop) with teriyaki sauce was nice too. I'm still feeling VERY full, even till now. Heh!
This is the Crunchy Tuna. $9.

The Easter Weekend!
Took up an event assignment over the long Easter weekend, which I have to add that it has been long since I did such assignments. A year, to be exact. This time, it was for an APAC conference by a foreign university alumni. This conference was inaugurated by Minister in the Prime Minister's Office S. Iswaran. Even the Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam and former Singapore president, Mr S. R. Nathan, gave their respective speeches to the attendees, during the 2-day event. The conference concluded with a gala dinner which was graced by the current head of state, Dr Tony Tan.
Second day was lovely and a breeze at work. Not to mention that I had great company for lunch, followed by a group high tea session at Conrad Centennial hotel.
This was my outfit for Day 1.
Freezing cold!

Took these 2 pictures back at home,

Went off to attend Jean Yip's 30th anniversary party held at the Jean Yip Loft.

The theme was pearls... Which I put on my strand of double-layered pearl necklace and my usual 'almost-everyday' pearl ear studs. And do you know that my birthstone (for June babies) is pearl? That's why I like pearls. Think Audrey Hepburn and her pearl necklace in Breakfast at Tiffany's. :p
And I concluded my weekend with the purchase of this pair of heels!
Totally LOVE!

Review: Purbasari Body Scrub
A body scrub which works effectively in removing your dead skin, and yet really affordable, is this brand, Purbasari. This is the only body scrub brand that I use, other than L'occitane and The Body Shop.
There are various types of 'flavors' to choose from this brand, but I prefer this the most - Mutiara Whitening + Vitamin E (as seen in the pic above). It has a smooth texture, pearl color and a 'close to none' hint of fragrance. I feel that my skin becomes fairer after each scrubbing session.
The body scrubs from this brand is really cheap. One small tub is really cheap, probably about S$2.50 to S$3 (I bought it from a shop in Yishun Central). Or if you happen to head to Batam, you can get it from the supermarkets (that's where my friends bought it for me), and if I am not wrong, it cost only about S$1++/tub. And because it is really cheap (and effective!), I usually slap on a large amount of it all around my body and scrub away! :D

Be Pampered by AsiaRooms.com
Certainly felt like I was living a high life, when I was picked up by a splendid limousine one evening, which drove me to Klapsons Hotel, where an event by AsiaRooms.com was held.
So I sipped champagne water while watching the world went by (and office crowd in Raffles Place rushing off after knocking off from a day's work), while seated comfortably in the luxurious limo which was equipped with a good sound system.
And coincidentally, Lady Gaga's MVs were being played! She's one of my faves, so that completed the whole limo ride experience totally! :)
And when you thought that the star treatment was just the limo ride...
There was more than that, waiting for me! :D

Shoulder massage for me...
Hand massage too...
(There's back massage too, but I didn't try that).

What's a girl without her nicely-manicured painted nails? Heh!
As I just had my mani done, the manicurist did a cross painting of
a shimmery light brown shade on my hot pink nails.

Here's a caricature drawing of me!
A variety of food awaited us that evening. There was a lucky draw where winners won a night stay at selected hotels locally.
This AsiaRooms.com event was held as the online hotel booking company is in search for Singapore's Next Social Travel Star, where a pair of travel hosts will travel and review 12 unique hotels across four countries, sharing with you how a Right Room in a hotel should be like.

As for me, I certainly have my own personal requirements and preferences when I choose my hotels for my staycations and leisure trips. And not forgetting the fact that I have been traveling for work around the region for the past year, I started having my own preferences when it comes to hotels for business trips. I plan to blog about some of the lovely hotels which I stayed previously, as there were some of you who asked me. So, look out for it! Ciao! :)
